How much does a dumpster rental cost?

About $300 to $350 for a 10 yard and up to $600 to $750 for a 40 yard, for 7 days with delivery, pickup, and a set weight allowance included. Your quote confirms the exact price before you book.

Size7 day priceWeight included
10 yard$300 to $3502 tons
15 yard$350 to $4003 tons
20 yard$370 to $4303 to 4 tons
30 yard$485 to $5504 to 5 tons
40 yard$600 to $7505 to 6 tons

What is included in the price?

Delivery, pickup, 7 days of rental time, and the weight allowance shown for your size. See our dumpster prices and sizes guide.

What extra charges can apply?

Weight over your included allowance costs $50 to $55 per ton. Extra days may be available at $10 per day, subject to availability and your quoted terms. Your quote lists any charges before you book.

What is the cheapest way to rent a dumpster?

Compare the full quoted cost of a container that fits both the volume and the weight of your debris, including any extra hauls. A box that is too small for heavy debris can cost more in the end.

Sizes & Loading

Sizes and Weight

What size dumpster do I need?

A 10 yard suits a bathroom or one room. A 15 yard suits a garage or basement cleanout. A 20 yard suits a whole house cleanout, a kitchen remodel, or a one layer roof. A 30 yard suits a packed estate cleanout or a large renovation. A 40 yard suits very bulky, light debris. Material approval and loading limits apply.

How big is each dumpster?

A 10 or 15 yard is about 12 to 14 feet long. The 20, 30, and 40 yard boxes are about 22 feet long. Measure your driveway before you book.

Why does weight matter so much?

Heavy debris can reach the hauling limit before the container is full. Every load must stay within the provider’s approved hauling limit, and paying an overweight fee does not make an unsafe load acceptable. Tell us the material and amount so we can recommend a suitable size and loading limit.

Which materials are heaviest?

Concrete, brick, dirt, shingles, and plaster. Carpet, books, and wet debris also add weight fast. See our concrete dumpster rental and roofing dumpster rental pages.

Delivery and Placement

Delivery, Pickup, and Placement

When do you deliver and pick up?

Monday to Friday. We do not promise same day delivery. Call (989) 831 9600 to check the next open weekday.

Where can the dumpster go?

Keeping the dumpster on your own property is the simplest choice. Choose a provider approved hard, level surface entirely outside the road right of way.

What should I tell you before delivery?

  • The driveway length and width, the surface, and whether it slopes.
  • Overhead clearance from wires, trees, and roof lines.
  • Gates, fences, parked cars, ditches, culverts, or tight turns along the way in.
  • Where you want the box and which way the door should face.

Can a dumpster damage my driveway?

A loaded dumpster is heavy. Tell us about new concrete, pavers, or soft ground, and ask about boards under the rails.

Do you serve my address?

We serve the City of Saginaw and nearby communities. ZIP codes often cross city, village, and township lines, so give us your full street address and we will confirm service.

Permits and Rules

Permits and Local Rules

Do I need a permit for a dumpster?

Keep the dumpster entirely outside the public right of way when you can. For any street, sidewalk, or curb lawn placement, confirm the responsible road authority and its permit rules before delivery. Read our dumpster permit guide.

Will curbside trash pickup take my remodel debris?

Many local haulers limit bulky items and do not take construction or remodeling debris at the curb. Confirm the rules for your address before setting anything out. Our area pages, such as Saginaw Township, Bay City, and Chesaning, explain each community’s rules with official sources.

Can yard waste go in a dumpster?

Michigan law limits yard waste in landfills, so keep grass, leaves, and brush out of a trash dumpster. Use your community’s yard waste service, or ask us about a yard waste dumpster for a large lot clearing.

What cannot go in a dumpster?

Liquid paint, chemicals, tires, car batteries, lithium batteries, propane tanks, and asbestos stay out. See what can go in a dumpster for the full list.

How full can I load it?

Keep debris below the top edge or the provider’s lower marked fill line. Load heavy, flat items low and spread the weight evenly.

What do I do with household hazardous waste?

Check the Saginaw County Health Department at (989) 758 3686 for current drop off options. For propane tanks, ask a propane dealer whether it accepts your tank for return, exchange, or disposal.

Should I use a dumpster or junk removal?

A dumpster suits projects where you load debris over several days. Junk removal suits a few items you want hauled away at once. See dumpster rental vs junk removal.
